Man Utd's Ragnick named Austria coach


Manchester United Interim coach Ralf Rangnick has been confirmed as Austria's new head coach.

The 63-year-old tactician who has been at the helm of the Red Devils since November, has signed a contract until 2024.

While speaking to several sports news outlets, Rangnick confirmed that he had informed the United board and will now focus on his 2-year consultancy role at the club at the and of his stint as Man Utd's coach.

"I will take over as national team manager of Austria at the end of the season but will continue my consultancy with Manchester United," Ragnick said.

"I'm really looking forward to playing my part in helping United become a real force again.

His confirmation as Austria's coach comes just days after the giant premier league club announced the signing of Erik Ten Hag as their new coach.

Man Utd at currently sixth in the premier league log with 55 points out of 35  matches.

United who have been struggling to finish fourth have only three remaining before the curtains fall for the 2021/22 season.

They are set to face off with Brentford, Brighton and Crystal Palace.
