Over 2500 Kenyans receive 2nd COVID-19 dose

A total of 2541 Kenyans have been vaccinated with the second dose of coronavirus vaccine, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.

The Ministry of Health also announced that 284 more people tested positive for the disease pushing the country's caseload to 171,942.

" From the cases, 272 are Kenyan while 12 are foreigners.157 are males and 127 females, the youngest is a one-month-old infant while the oldest is 91 years old, " read a statement from the ministry.

At the same time, 124 people recovered from the disease, this brings the total number of recoveries to 117, 469.

The total number of fatalities rose to 3240 after 17 people succumbed to the disease.
