The county boss similarly invited the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation to Kisii to conduct an audit.

“I hope the officers of EACC will help unearth the rot in Kisii.

Locals were happy to see both Kieleweke and Tangatanga politicians present at the church, something that has never happened before. Kisii Governor James Ongwae and his Deputy Governor Joash Maangi were present and they pledged to work together as Omogusii unity intensifies to increase the community's bargaining power ahead of the 2022 polls as they front Dr. Fred Matiang'i. It should be reckoned that CS Dr. Fred Matiang'i has not declared his presidential bid regardless of the political pressure from his supporters to do so.

Speeches thrilled wananchi who were busy chanting 'Matiang'i for President' songs as he entered and also as he left the church.

CS Matiang'i, who wore a locally branded short sleeved shirt, to promote the Buy Kenya Build Kenya initiative advocated for unity.

"Lets unite and work together as Gusii leaders. Gusii people are known globally as hardworking citizens. We must now pull together to ensure the Big Four agenda of President Uhuru Kenyatta is a reality. I urge all of us to pray for each other as we strive to unite for development as advised by our President," said Dr. Matiang'i.

PS Susan Mochache urged all leaders from Gusii to work harmoniously so as to push the Omogusii agenda strongly together. She said Gusii must now work together under  Dr. Fred Matiang'i so as to promote development.

Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi said that the community must have one leader at a time, and a time has come when Dr. Fred Matiang'i must take the mantle and unite Abagusii irrespective of their former political alignments. He added that he hadn't been seen in Interior CS's functions but now a time has come when Omogusii must unite for purpose. His sentiments indicated he may decamp from Deputy President William Ruto's camp due to his past flip flopping political nature.

Governor James Ongwae also thanked Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i for ensuring that the name of Omogusii is dignified in Kenya through his hard working stance. Ongwae urged all leaders to unite for the sake of Omogusii's future bargaining in the national cake.

Other guests who attended the church service were Laikipia University Council Chairman Ken Nyaundi and Member of County Assembly, Kisii Central ward, Kisii County Government Kefa Kebabe Mogaka alias 'Mrefu.'
