A form three student reportedly stabbed two teachers at a school in Kisii County on Tuesday, January 12.
Reports indicate that the student was summoned to the school's staff room in the morning after reporting to class late.
According to reports, the student stabbed one of the teachers in the staff room and went on to stab the second one who tried to rescue his colleague.
The victims were rushed to Ram Hospital in Kisii town and one is said to be in stable condition while the other was taken to the theatre as he sustained severe stab wounds.
Reportedly, the teacher in stable condition had cuts on his wrist while the other with severe wounds was injured on his head.
Furthermore, it is said that the student resorted to stabbing the teachers after being ordered to kneel down and explain why he was late for the morning preps.
The incident has instigated investigations by police and education officers to determine details on the matter.
However, an order from the Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha bars media from accessing the school premises.
The case raises concerns over growing incidents of violent crime by young Kenyans. Just recently,
22-year-old Lawrence Warunge confessed to killing his family members in Karura Village, Kiambu County.
