The Kisii County Assembly on Thursday passed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill thereby becoming the eighth county to do so.
Kajiado passed the bill on Wednesday joining Trans Nzoia ,West Pokot , Busia, Homa Bay, Kisumu and Siaya county assemblies.
However, Baringo County was the first county to reject the bill on February 11 resulting in a chaotic situation that forced police officers to lob teargas into the assembly to disperse legislators.
Before the bill can be tabled at the National Assembly, it needs the support of at least 24 county assemblies.
