Manchester City displayed an impressive 1-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea, which had an unbeaten start to the season, was unexpectedly passive and conservative during the game.
Man City’s forward Gabriel Jesus scored in the 53rd-minute.
Chelsea’s Thiago Silva cleared Jesus effort to add a second goal. Aymeric Laporte almost scored but he slid a shot wide from inside the six-yard box.
Mendy also produced two crucial saves from the excellent Jack Grealish.
The victory at Stamford Bridge has pumped Man City and manager Pep Guardiola for their next games as they prepare to visit Paris St-Germain in the Champions League this week then take on Liverpool at Anfield next Sunday.
In terms of victories, Guardiola is currently the most successful manager in the history of Manchester City.
