PSG sign Sergio Ramos on free transfer

Paris St Germain (PSG) have signed Spain defender Sergio Ramos on a free transfer following his departure from La Liga club Real Madrid. 

He left the club last month following a disagreement regarding the extention of his 16-year stay in Madrid. 

The 35-year-old helped Real win four Champions League titles and five La Liga trophies.

Ramos has therefore signed a two-year contract with PSG which finished second last season behind champions Lille in Ligue 1. 

Manchester however knocked the team out in the Champions League semi-finals. 

Ramos said, “Paris Saint-Germain is a club that has already proven itself at the highest level,” Ramos said. I want to continue to grow and improve at Paris and help the team to win as many trophies as possible.”

The outstanding defender was left out of Spain’s Euro 2020 squad and he missed most of last season due to injuries. 

Nevertheless, after leaving Real, he said that he is determined reestablish himself at the top. 

Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi from Series A side Inter Milan has also been signed by PSG on a five-year deal.
