Deputy President William Ruto has said the 2022 presidential race will put an end to tribal politics.
He pointed out that tribal groupings was the basis of the previous elections as leaders banked on that as a means to ascending to power.
The Deputy President strongly spoke against taking the country back to tribal politics.
He said, "The days' leaders relied on tribal politics to survive are now gone. Let those interested in leadership sell their agenda to Kenyans and stop regrouping along tribal lines."
Ruto toured Endebes and Trans Nzoia County on Saturday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta convened a meeting on Thursday with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Gideon Moi (Kanu), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), and Charity Ngilu (NARC) at State House, Nairobi to issue a joint statement on the BBI.
