Kenya receives another batch of Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine

Kenya has received an additional 504,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine.

The doses arrived in the country on Thursday evening via the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust(AVAT).


The vaccine doses were received by the Chairperson of the Vaccine Procurement Logistics Committee at the Ministry of Health.

As of Thursday Kenya had inoculated 4,733,770 people with the number of those fully vaccinated standing at 1,317,024.

Other vaccines being administered in the country include; Sinopharm, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna.
