Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba has been appointed the Communication Authority of Kenya ( CA) Director-General.
In a statement sent to newsrooms on Tuesday, the authority's board Chairman Kembi Gitura said Chiloba's appointment takes effect immediately.
He will serve for a renewable term of four years.
“The appointment follows a competitive recruitment process to fill the position left vacant with the retirement of the former Director General, Francis Wangusi,” reads the statement.
Mr. Chiloba is a policy consultant and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
He is also a senior principal partner with Chimp and Kemp consultancy.
Chiloba left the electoral agency in 2018 after the 2017 general elections.
