Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana dares Wiper to expel him

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has dared the Wiper Democratic Movement to expel him from the party if it finds him no longer useful.

The governor said that he has received numerous letters from the party asking him to appear before a disciplinary committee. The latest requires his appearance by July 30, 2021.

“Let them (Wiper) do as they wish. I cannot stop them from ejecting me from the party… If I’m no longer useful to the party, I cannot stop them from doing what they want.”

Kibwana further stated that accusations by the Wiper party that he supported a different candidate during the Kithuki/Kitise by-election is not in order because an agreement between the party and his former Muungano party allowed for supporting of the two parties.

He has also been accused of not paying monthly subscription but he argued that his funding of party activities means it is the party that owes him and not the other way round.

Speaking on Monday at his residence where he hosted a delegation of kamba elders, Kibwana pointed out he cannot risk his ill health travelling to Nairobi while doctors have confined him to rest after a surgery two months ago so the party can go ahead and make its move.

The elders, Thome wa Akamba, endorsed Kibwana as a presidential candidate and told him to escalate his campaigns to other parts of the nation.
