Justice Daniel Musinga was on Friday sworn in as the President of the Court of Appeal at a ceremony presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome.
Musinga was elected by the judges of the appellate court on May 24 to replace Justice William Ouko who was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya.
Speaking after assuming office, Justice Musinga pledged to enhance the court's efficiency and service delivery.
"My administration will listen to ideas that will assist in promoting efficient and effective service delivery. We will consult regularly with the leadership of the judiciary" he said
Justice Musinga was admitted to the bar in 1988.
Prior to his election, he served as the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee on Elections ( JCE).
