US rapper Dark Man X ' DMX' has died. He was aged 50 years, his family has confirmed.
DMX born Earl Simmons was hospitalised after an heart attack on April 3rd and had been receiving treatment at White Plains Hospital in New York.
In a statement, his family said; "We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,"
DMX, a three-time Grammy Awards nominee shot to fame after his debut album " It's Dark and Hell is Hot" in 1998.
