Stars delve into intense preparations ahead of South Sudan friendly

Harambee Stars have stepped up their preparations ahead of the upcoming international friendly against South Sudan on Saturday, at the Nyayo Stadium.

The players commenced their residential training on Thursday to gear up for a striking performance  on Saturday. 

Local-based players who were called in were present during the session. However, Kariobangi Sharks players Samuel Olwande, Bonface Onyango, Daniel Sakari, James Mazembe, and Erick Kapaito were absent due to club assignments in the FKF Premier League.

Stars will host Tanzania in back-to-back matches on March 15 (Nyayo Stadium) and March 18 (MISC Kasarani) after their first friendly against South Sudan on Saturday

Afterwards, the team will host Egypt on March 22 and later travel to Togo for the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying rounds on March 30.

These matches will be the team's key performance indicators as move to be part of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers that get underway in June 2021.
