Kenyan female rapper Sosuun has decided to call it quits in her marriage with fellow rapper Kenrazy that has lasted 10 years over irreconcilable differences with in-laws.
Sosuun referred to her in-laws as toxic people because they have been frustrating her over the years. The rapper explained that she is ending the marriage because she does not want to put the father of her children in a position of picking sides.
She wrote on Instagram, “…Nobody understands the pain a woman carries as year goes by from in-laws who never find you enough. They always find a loophole in their family just because you are not part of it. I have experienced that and I have to act accordingly for the protection of my daughter and my own mental fitness."
She went further to advise her fans about in-laws that begin hating from the onset of a relationship.
" I have learnt that never underestimate someone who has hated you from the very first day they laid their eyes on you, because you have no idea how far they are willing to go just to make sure everyone else in their family hates you," Sosuun added.
According to the rapper, her in-laws have never liked her because of her mother's alcoholic nature. This has made them disrespect and insult her.
She disclosed, “I was raised by a single mom who saw my sisters and I through school by just selling second hand clothes in Gikomba…as time went by the happy, cheerful and caring mother was there but mmmmh, not really there, here consumption of alcohol was becoming intense, she was drinking more and more till now as we speak, we have come to accept that my mother is suffering from alcohol addiction."
After showing her acceptance of the situation and stand, Sosuun ended her post by wishing
the father of her children well, referring to him as the best partner, friend, and lover she could ever ask for.
She expressed her pain for leaving Kenrazy because he has been nothing but good to her. Sosuun apologized to him for losing her strength and said she did not want to come between his relationship with the family.
