Comedian Njugush crowned Digital Influencer of the Year

Kenyan Comedian Timothy Kimani better known as Blessed Njugush, has bagged this year's Digital Influencer of the Year Award. 

The 29-year-old comedian was nominated alongside other African content creators Kwadwo Sheldoh (Ghana), Lasizwe (South Africa), Linda Ikeji (Nigeria) and Edith Yoh (Cote d'Ivoire). 

Njugush trounced the other nominees and bagged the prestigious award at a virtual ceremony held on Saturday, November 29.

He took to social media to post that Digital Foundation Africa in recognized his innovation and creativity.

His post read in part, “Africa Digital Influencer of the Year; a huge title thanks for your support. Thanks, Africa Digital Awards for your recognition. Influencing with a purpose. Asante Celestine Ndinda for being there throughout the journey.” 

Many fans and fellow celebrities have commented on the comedian's post congratulating and encouraging him. 

Kiss 100 presenter Jalang’o shared, "Good stuff bro." 

Gospel singer Kambua also commented, "Awesome!!" 

MCA Tricky shared, "Kasee we are proud of you, keep winning!"

Bien from Sauti Sol added, “Congratulations G. You're an inspiration."
