Former Harambee Stars coach Migne lands top role in Cameroon


Former Harambee Stars head coach Sebastian Migne has been appointed Cameroon assistant coach.

Migne is set to assist Cameroon legend Rigobert Song who's appointment was also confirmed Monday.

Song who played alongside Samuel Eto'I now Cameroon FA President takes over from Portuguese António Conceição da Silva Oliveira, who led the Indomitable Lions to third place in the delayed Africa Cup of Nations hosted in the country in January.

During his stint in Kenya, the Frenchman led Kenya to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after a 15-year absence following remarkable win over Ethiopia and Ghana.

He parted ways with Stars after a disappointing outing at the Nations Cup in Cairo, Egypt follow humiliating losses to Senegal and Algeria.

He also coached Equatorial Guinea national team  and top flight South African side Marumo Gallants 

Migne and Song's first assignment is the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification against Algeria on March 23 and 29.
