Shakava ditches K'Ogalo for Kenya Police FC

Immediate former Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava is the latest player to sign up for the newbie Kenya Police FC.

Shakava left K'Ogalo upon the expiry of his contract after rejoining the club in 2020 after returning from Zambia.

“We have been in talks with Shakava for a while and we have finally reached an agreement. He is a very good addition to the team and we expect him to add steel and experience. He formed a very huge partnership with Musa at Gor and he is coming to an understanding he knows about,” said the Kenya Police Team manager George Maelo.

“The most important thing for him is life after football and he has that behind his back as one of the reasons he signed.”he added

According to reports, Shakava will also enrol at the Kenya Police College in Embakasi.

Shakava's exit leaves Gor with a struggle in it's defense, with another central defender Frank Odhiambo having also left the club to join Sweden based club Djugarden IF.

His exit comes just a day after the club announced that Philemon Otieno will be the new club captain.

He joins his former teammates Musa Mohamed and Francis Kahata who recently joined the club after a short stint in Ethiopia.
