According to reports, Jematia was on Wednesday by police officers at Westpark Estate, Nairobi before being taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters for questioning.
On Tuesday, the police had launched a manhunt for the politician in order to have her record a statement after she allegedly asked residents of Mochongoi in the Baringo South Constituency to raise funds to buy firearms while accusing the government of failing to address insecurity in the region.
Her arrest comes just a day after Baringo County Commissioner Abdrisak Jaldesa asked Jematai who is vying for the Baringo Woman Rep seat to surrender to police over alleged incitement.
