A 15 year old girl who was lost and found by a man she referred to as Rasta testified in court claiming that the man defiled her.
Prosecutor Robert Ogallo tried to calm her when she shouted at the dreadlocked suspect in court, “Ni wewe, you are the one who did bad manners to me.”
“He defiled me for some days , at some point, he removed his clothes and used his hand to beat me up before defiling me, he refused to show me the way," she said.
The minor told the court that she lost direction while on her way home after spending the night at the school playing ground when she bumped into the accused.
According to her, the man told her to follow him to his house and upon reaching, he ordered her to undress and proceeded to defile her.
She told the court, “Rasta threatened to beat me if I failed to give in. Whenever I refused he would beat me and he would continuously defile me.”
The teen added that she was rescued by a neighbour who saw her peeping through an opening and asked her what had happened. The suspect fled on that day.
After being rescued, the girl was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect, Duke Nyauma, was charged for allegedly abducting and defiling the girl on diverse dates between August 12 and 18 at Kawangware within Nairobi County.
He is also charged with another count of abducting the girl and the last count is committing an indecent act with the girl.
The case will proceed next month.
