Veteran footballer Wanga considering to gun for top FKF seat

Allan Wanga has hinted at a possibility of contesting for the Football Kenya Federation top seat in the next elections set for 2024.


Wanga who recently announced his retirement from active football said he will be seeking to bring change in the sport.

"After retiring I will now focus on the Kakamega county job that I have and then God willing I will try to contest for the FKF top seat so that I may bring change in the sport,” Wanga said.

The immediate former Kakamega Homeboyz striker said he will now focus on his job as a Sports Officer in Kakamega County government.


The 35-year-old featured for Angola's Petre Atletico and Sudanese giants El Merreikh and Hoang Anh Gia Lai of Vietnam.

During his stint with the national team, Harambee Stars he helped his team win the CECAFA cup.
