Kiss 100 presenter Jalang'o has responded to media personality Andrew Kibe who criticised him after he recently interviewed a Kisumu based clothes hawker who became an overnight internet sensation.
Mayau as he is known dresses as a woman while cracking jokes as a way of attracting more clients as he sells ladies wear.
He recently became an overnight celebrity after videos of him enjoying his craft surfaced online and everyone loved him
Two days after the interview by Jalang’o went live, former Kiss 100 presenter Andrew Kibe released a video criticizing Jalang'o for interviewing a man who chooses to wear women's clothes.
In the five minute video posted on his Instagram page, Kibe said, "Jalas please stop being lambistic... ata kama ni kutafuta watu wanatrend, please stop!" He said
Jalang’o moved to the comment section and defended Mayau by saying the entertainment mtumba seller was just trying to earn a living in a creative way.
He wrote, "Guy just found a way to hustle and put food on his table, did you watch the whole story ama uliona amevaa kaa dame uka press next? Cross dressing for entertainment or marketing is not a new thing!"
The Kiss 100 presenter further explained that cross dressing is a common thing even in Western countries such as the United States of America.
"Hata uku US pahali uko billionaire entertainers cross dressed! Tyler perry, cedric the entertainer, Martin Lawrence and many more bro are they Lambistic or its the hustle!" Jalang’o ranted.
Mayau aka Mtumba Man from Kisumu has grown his brand through his crossdressing strategy.
He just signed a five-year-long deal with Devine Collection as their official brand ambassador and has been gifted a bale valued at KSh 50,000 by Jane Wamuyu of Best Mitumba Bales.
Jalang’o finished by saying, "Yes I hear you but hustle lazima iendelee! As we speak sahii mtumba guy just got life changing deals that will see him move a step from poverty! Nadhani wewe hujawahi sota vizuri! Siku utasota poa ,wich I hope you dont , wewe utavaa hata dera! Lambistic!!"
