Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi has confirmed to a local news outlet that he is close to sealing a deal with league leaders Tusker FC.
“I will be travelling to Nairobi very soon to complete the talks that we have already started on phone, I want to see what they can offer to me and what I can give them. When everything is agreed then I will sign the contract and begin preparation for the new season,” Matasi told Citizen TV
Matasi who is a free agent after leaving Saint George Sports club of Ethiopia in June said his decision to join the FKF side was informed by the fact that he will get a chance to feature in the clubs' squad for the CAF competition which he has never participated in.
" I have never participated in the CAF competition and Tusker being one of Kenya representatives has been one of the major reasons I have taken up the offer."
Matasi joined the Ethiopian club in 2018 and has made 41 appearances out of which he managed 22 clean sheets.
