Silva becomes Fulham's new head coach

Former Everton manager Marco Silva has delved into a three-year contract as Fulham's new head coach thereby replacing Scott Parker.

In 2018, the 43-year-old guided Everton to eighth place in his first season of the Premier League.

However, in December 2019, the club sacked Silva after it was defeated by Liverpool on a 5-2 score.

Fulham's relegation from the Premier League last season pushed Parker to leave the club this week. Currently, he is the new Bournemouth manager.

In a club statement on Thursday, Silva said “I’m really pleased and proud to be appointed head coach of such a historic football club.”

“I’m excited to get started and my message for our fans ahead of this big challenge is we will all be working very hard together to be successful so they can feel proud at the end of the season,” he added.

Former Fulham forward Luis Boa Morten will assist Silva.
