11 people in Bungoma have been arrested by police for flouting the 7pm to 4am curfew imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the county.
Bungoma County Commissioner Samuel Kimiti confirmed the arrest saying majority of the people arrested are boda boda riders and hotel operators.
The suspects will be arraigned in court for acting contrary to Covid-19 protocols.
Police officers who encourage people to flout the protocols by receiving bribes will be dealt with accordingly, the County Commissioner warned.
Bungoma, which borders Uganda, continues to experience a high rate of Covid-19 infections.
