Security consultant and ex- Kenya Air Force officer Mwendwa Mbijiwe has gone missing, his family says.
Mbijiwe vanished on Saturday, June 12 reportedly on his way to Meru with his phone signal last traced to Thika, Kiambu County.
According to Mbijiwe's sister Tamara, the security expert was driving a hired vehicle when he disappeared in unclear circumstance.
" He was driving a hired vehicle we are yet to ascertain which car hire company had leased the vehicle to him," said Tamara.
The family filed a missing person report at Central Police Station in Nairobi, two days after he went missing.
" The DCI detectives have launched the search for my brother." She added.
Mwendwa Mbijiwe is a private security consultant and founder of Eye on Security Limited.
In 2017, he unsuccessfully contested for the Meru gubernatorial seat on an ODM party ticket
