Jubilee party candidate Kariri Njama has received a major boost in his aspirations of becoming the Member of Parliament of Kiambaa after PNU's Lucy Wanjiru withdrew her candidature and pledged to support him.
Speaking in Gachie, Wanjiru said she will henceforth work with Njama to ensure he recaptures the seat.
Njama while reacting to the move, thanked Ms Wanjiru for making what he termed as a bold move saying she will greatly improve her campaigns.
The Kiambaa parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of former MP Paul Koinange.
Jubilee's Kariri Njama and United Democratic Alliance candidate Njuguna Wanjiru have been touted as the front runners in the July 15th by-elections.
