In a message directed to Deputy President William Ruto and his allies, fiery Laikipia Women Rep. Hon. Cate Waruguru has asked the country’s second in command to show some respect to women even as he propagates his 2022 agenda.
Speaking exclusively to Latest, Hon Waruguru accused the DP of instigating malicious and unwarranted attacks targeted at women leaders opposed to his presidential bid.
“It is sad that, any woman who refuses to support him ends up being baselessly maligned. I don’t know what the DP seeks to achieve by unleashing his attack dogs on female leaders to make them appear lesser beings,” said Hon. Waruguru.
“Ruto was brought to this world by a woman, is married to one and he is a father of girls. He should respect womanhood. Not every woman is interested in subscribing to his wayward ways. Some of us respect ourselves and our dignity,” added Hon. Waruguru.
Earlier in the week, Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi, a close ally of the DP, unleashed a series of posts on Facebook, associating Hon. Waruguru to drama surrounding an extra marital affair.
Hon Waruguru has termed Itumbi’s alleged expose’ as ‘manifest nonsense’.
