Justice Daniel Musinga elected Court of Appeal President

Judiciary Committee on Election Chair Justice Daniep Musinga has been elected Court of Appeal President.

Justice Musinga was elected on Monday in an exercise presided over by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC).

"I Beatrice Saki Muli hereby confirm that Hon.Justice Daniel Musinga has been duly elected  President of the Court of Appeal/Representtative of the court of Appeal to the Judicial Service Commission on the 24th of May 2021,” the IEBC official who oversaw the exercise declared.


He replaces Justice William Ouko who was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court.

Justice Ouko has been at the helm of the appellate court since March, 2018  when he took over from Justice Kihara Kariuki who term had lapsed and subsequently appointed the Attorney General.


Justice Musinga was admitted to the bar in 1988.
