Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan is on a one-day state visit to Uganda.
President Suluhu and her Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni are expected to ink a tripartite project agreement with French oil giant Total.
The two heads of state are set to launch East African Crude Oil Pipeline ( EACOP) , the longest heated pipeline in the world.
The Construction of the 1,445 Km oil project valued at $3.55 billion is from Hoima in Western Uganda to the Indian Ocean of Tanga.
The launch of the project was called off in March last month following the death of Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli.
Uganda discovered oil in 2007.
