COVID-19: 1,030 new infections pushes Kenya’s coronavirus positivity rate to 12.4%

The coronavirus positivity rate in Kenya stands at 12.4% as the Ministry of Health has announced 1,030 new infections from 8,316 samples. 

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry disclosed that the total confirmed cases are now 145,184 and total samples tested are 1,557,704. 

From the new cases, there are 35 foreigners and 995 Kenyans. 532 cases are male while 498 are female.

The oldest case is 99 years old while the youngest is a ten-month-old infant. 

Currently, a total of 1,616 patients are admitted in various health facilities across the country, with 4,243 on Home Based Isolation and Care.
