Rapper Khaligraph laments over President Uhuru's lockdown directive

Rapper Khaligraph Jones is among various entertainment industry stakeholders who have expressed displeasure and anger regarding President Uhuru Kenyatta’s order to lock down bars and restaurants and ban all social gatherings.

Khaligraph reiterated the concern that people, particularly those in hospitality, entertainment, tourism and education sectors, are unable to feed their families.

He took to Instagram and wrote, “Tell the President to unlock the goddamn Country and Remove the Curfew, People are really suffering, this is unacceptable. We want to work to feed our families. #RESPECTTHEOGS.”

Many artistes are in limbo because of the ban on social gatherings and closure of clubs and restaurants since depend on club appearances and other entertainment events for their livelihoods.

Earlier, DJ Pierra Makena shared her grievances through an emotional letter she penned to the President.

The new stringent COVID-19 measures announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta were meant to help fight the rapid spread of Covid-19 infections being experienced especially in five zone counties.
