Kenya's Covid-19 cases hit 100,773

The Ministry of Health has announced 98 new coronavirus cases, from a sample size of 3,379 tested in the last 24 hours.


In a statement on Sunday, the ministry said the country's caseload now stands at 100,773.


86 of the new cases are Kenyans while 12 are foreigners; 82 males and 16 females aged between 10 and 83 years.

The cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi 86, Meru 2, Mombasa 2, Nakuru 2, Nyeri 1, Machakos 1, Busia 1, Kiambu 1 and Kisumu 1.

At the same time, 52 more patients recovered from the disease; 29 from various hospitals across the country and 23 from the Home-Based Care System.

The country's Covid-19 death toll rose to 1763 after 8 patients succumbed to the virus.
