A man has been charged with sexually assaulting his four-day-old daughter and three-year old son.
On Friday, the step-father was arraigned before Makadara Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga so that he could take a plea.
Reports indicate that he committed the offence on November 16 at Kibra, Makina area after the mother left him with the two children shortly to answer nature’s call.
When she returned, she realized that the two children were in some pain. The infant had bruises on her private parts while son’s mouth was swollen and he experienced difficulties sitting down.
However, the man denied the accusations.
The woman took her children to Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Adams Arcade branch, and according to a medical examination, they had been sexually assaulted.
In the two counts, he is charged with, the man faces an alternative count of committing an indecent act with the minors.
