In a post shared on her official social media handles she said there is no need to ‘crucify’ electoral body chairman Wafula Chebukati and the commissioners noting that their work was above board.
“A referee does not expect to be liked, we are taking things far as a country. A tense populace and an overreacting political class is a recipe for disaster,” Wamae tweeted.
“I believe IEBC delivered a free, fair and transparent election and the will of the people was exercised. Now that ‘servers’ have been opened, the people shouldn’t condemn duly elected leaders calling them ‘vifaranga vya computer’,” Wamae added thanking the 61, 969 people who rallied behind their candidature.
"To our supporters 61,969 is no mean feat, do not lose hope, what you did made a difference and building on itself will go into make a difference in future,"
At the same time, she congratulated the Kenya Kwanza team for clinching the presidency.
"H.E William Ruto and H.E Rigathi Gachagua are going to be our President and Deputy President respectively and I pray that our wonderful peaceful people of Kenya will accept the verdict,"
"Congratulations H.E Ruto and H.E Rigathi on your victory. As the representative of the Kenyan youth I will support in any way I can to achieve a financially secure Kenya that is dignified across the globe."
