Senator Mr James Orengo has picked Mr William Oduol as his running mate in the race to succeed Siaya Governor Mr Cornel Rasanga.
Mr Oduol who unsuccessfully contested for the seat in 2013 but lost to Mr Rasanga and was among candidates interested in Alego Usonga parliamentary seat.
Oduol unveiling comes weeks after United Democratic Movement party(UDM) governor aspirant Mr Nicholas Gumbo settled on former police spokesman Mr Charles Owino as his running mate.
“I have nominated Oduol as my running mate for the seat of deputy governor in the General Election to be held on 9th August 2022, following my nomination by the ODM party to contest for the seat of the governor of Siaya County."read a letter from Siaya Senator Orengo to the ODM elections board.
