Nominated MP David Sankok records statement with DCI in son's death probe

Nominated MP David Sankok has recorded a statement with the DCI in the ongoing probe into the death of his teenage son.

Further media reports indicate that  the wife, daughter, and workers of the MP have also given their statement to the detectives.

The MP's son reportedly shot himself using his father's pistol on Monday evening.He was a Form three student at Kericho High School.

Prior to the incident, the lawmaker is said to have had an argument with the son about him reporting back to school , though he was reportedly out of the house at the time.

The pistol used by the MP's son has since been seized for ballistic analysis by officers.

The body of the deceased has since been moved to Narok County  Referral Hospital Mortuary.
