Aggrieved? Kindiki skips Kenya Kwanza running mate unveiling event

Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki was conspicuously missing during Kenya Kwanza coalition event, which unveiled Rigathi Gachagua as DP Ruto's running mate.

The event which was slated for Saturday at Dr Ruto’s official residence in Karen was pushed to Sunday after a 17-hour standoff reportedly caused by sharp divisions in the Kenya Kwanza camp.

While unveiling Mr Gachagua, DP Ruto applauded Professor Kindiki who he referred as his lawyer and friend hinting a his absence during Sunday's event.

“I want to thank my lawyer and friend Abraham Kithure Kindiki who became the runner up. Even though the current senator of Tharaka Nithi is not here with us now, he brought a lot of passion to this contest, “Dr Ruto said. 

It remains unclear whether, Prof Kindiki will  back Gachagua nomination and the Kenya Kwanza coalition
