Raila endorses Fernandes Barasa for Kakamega gubernatorial seat

Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) Parly leader Raila Odinga has thrown his weigh behind the candidature of Kakamega governor

While addressing residents in Butere constituency, Raila said Barasa is the best suited candidate  to take over from the Wycliffe Oparanya who is second his second and final term.

"As we pass the baton to Barasa, Oparanya and  I will go to Nairobi where he will help me work from there," Raila said. 

Barasa, the former CEO of  Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO)  will be facing off with Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala of Kenya Kwanza alliance, Lugari MP Ayub Savula and Kakamega Deputy Governor Philip Kutima who are set to square it on nomination under DAP Kenya and Cyrus Jirongo of UDP,
