Gor, Vihiga Bullets match called off midway

The Football Kenya Federation Premier League match pitting Gor Mahia against bottom placed Vihiga Bullets was called off midway after three fans were injured in chaotic scenes at Moi International Centre Kasarani on Sunday.

The injured fans were rushed to Neema Hospital.

According to a statement from the host,  K’Ogalo’s,a fan had jumped over the gates without paying a gate fee causing the stewards to react hitting him with a wooden object inflicting deep cuts to the face.

Angered by the incident, some K’Ogalo fans joined the fracas and attacked the head of Gor Mahia head of security – Lawrence Odhiambo who was responsible for causing the commotion.

The fracas extended into the field as the game just got into the halftime break.

The visitors, Vihiga Bullets are said to have declined to come back to the pitch after the end of half time citing security reason forcing the referee to call of the match after a no show from the visitors 30 minutes into the second half of the game.

K'Ogalo's George ' BlackBerry ' Odhiambo had scored a goal at the 44th minute.
