Mohamed Maalim replaces Natembeya as Rift Valley Regional Coordinator

Mr Natembeya resigned on Wednesday to pursue his political interests after close to three decade career in public service. The 50-year-old, tough-talking administrator has expressed interest in Trans Nzoia governor’s seat.

Makueni County Commissioner Mohamed Maalim now takes over as the Rift Valley regional commissioner in the latest reshuffle.

 Esther Wamuyu Maina who has been Western Kenya RC now moves to Central Kenya in the same capacity with Isaiah Nkoru replacing her in the Western region as Evans Achoki who has been serving as Narok County Commissioner was promoted as the Regional Coordinator for  Eastern region.

The Central region’s Wilfred Agage Nyangwanga was moved to the ministry’s headquarters in Nairobi.

Immediate former Nairobi Metropolitan Deputy Director General William Kang’ethe Thuku becomes the Nairobi regional commissioner, replacing James Kianda, who moves to the North Eastern region.

Mr Nicodemus Ndalana, who served in the North Eastern region, has been moved to the ministry headquarters.

Also moved in the reshuffle include Mr Lucas Katee Mwanza, a senior deputy secretary at the ministry headquarters, becomes the new Mombasa County commissioner, he replaces Mr Gilbert Kitiyo, who was moved to Makueni.

Taita Taveta CC Ms Rhoda Nyaboke Onyancha moves to Machakos County, as Nyeri’s Loyford Ephantus Kibaara moves to Taita Taveta.

Mr John Otieno Ondego moves from Machakos to Kakamega,where he replaces Ms Pauline Dola, who will now serve qs personal assistant to the Nyanza regional commissioner.

Mr Abdulla Galgallo Hiddi moves from Embu to Nyeri as  Mr Eddyson Haro Nyale, previously stationed at the ministry headquarters moves to Embu.

Vihiga CC Ochillo Oyugi was moved to the ministry headquarters and has been replaced by Mr John Odhiambo Otieno.

Mr John Kipngétich Korir was moved to Elgeyo Marakwet from Busia, as Isaac Wanyonyi Masinde, a senior deputy secretary at the ministry, moved to Narok County.

According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Interior, the transfers take effect immediately.
