Rift Valley Regional Coordinator George Natembeya has resigned from his position.

Natembeya also acknowledged Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho,  Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, and Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti.

" I want to thank CS Fred Matiang'i, he has been a great adviser and approachable.Interior PS Karanja Kibicho who has been my immediate supervisor has been of great help and has also been there when we need him," he said.

Natembeya has declared his bid for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat in the August polls.

He has exuded confidence that his experience in the public sector would give him an upper hand in politics.

He will be facing off with Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, County Woman Representative Janet Nangabo, Kaikai Bissau, Andrew Singoe and businessman Michael Khaoya all of whom have declared interest in succeeding Patrick Khaemba who has served as Trans Nzoia Governor for two terms.
