DP Ruto's Chief of Staff Ken Osinde is dead

Deputy President William Ruto's Chief of Staff Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde is dead.

DP's press secretary Emmanuel Talam told a local news outlet that Mr. Osinde had been taken to the Nairobi Hospital for treatment after he fell ill but later died.

 "Information we have so far is that he was admitted to hospital and never made it out. We are issuing a comprehensive statement shortly,” Mr Talam said.

Three weeks ago,  Mr Osinde was sent by the deputy president to represent him at the 7th Devolution Conference in Makueni, but the Council of Governors turned him away.

Prior to his appointment as the Chief of Staff, Osinde as Kenya's ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

He was serving his second term in the DP's office 

 Mr Osinde has been chief of staff at Harambee Annex since the exit of Maryann Keitany.

DP Ruto in his message of condolences to the family of the deceased, said his office has lost one of its key officers, describing Osinde as a good leader with robust management and problem-solving skills.

“My Office has lost one of its key officers. Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde was a good leader with robust management and problem-solving skills,” Ruto tweeted.

"We will miss his wise counsel and team spirit.My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, colleagues and friends. Rest In Peace my friend, Ken."
