Embattled Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa on Monday refused to take plea on four fraud related charges he was facing.
Mwendwa who was arrested on Friday, last week by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations cited violation of his fundamental rights.
The FKF boss was arraigned before Anti-Corruption Court Senior Principal Magistrate Eunice Nyutu who ordered him detained until Tuesday afternoon when the court will rule on the matter or whether to admit the charge sheet.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who grilled him over the weekend have preferred three charges of fraudulent acquisition of public property and one count of conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption.
Former Law Society of Kenya boss Eric Mutua who among lawyers representing the FKF chief protested to the court that his client's rights were violated following his re-arrest .
