Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) have criticised Lifestyle Coach Robert Burale after a poster for an event he is hosting indicated that the singles retreat costs Kshs12,000.
Before indicating the cost, the poster announced, "Singles night; 'Chivalry is not lost and so is an honourable lady'."
The poster highlighted that the Sh12,000 caters for a package including accommodation on half-board, red roses for ladies, kizomba, salsa, fun & games and breakfast by the pool side.
The event will be held at the Hillpark Hotel on Thursday November 18, 2021 starting at 6:00pm.
However, a section of Kenyans online were displeased with the amount on the poster, arguing that it is not worth the trouble.
Phoebe Korir posted, "When we thought that being is cheap; no expenses for dates, reduced cost on calls, no buying your partner random gifts, e.t.c Boom!!! Robert Burale appeared ! And now we are parting with a whopping 12k for being single. God, tulikosea wapi?"
"Never take another person's relationship advice. Your relationship and condition ain't same has his/hers. They are two different worlds. For those willing to pay Burale 12k, have at it but it wont change a thing. Handle your relationship and situations as they come, rationally," @Shawn_Tuesday advised.
@VictorThinkerr lamented," Paying someone who's single to help you get a marriage partner is the EPITOME OF STUPIDITY I have ever seen!
Burale needs to stop this Nonsense!"
@Kenyan_Dawn posted," Polished conman Robert Burale is organizing a Sh12,000 retreat. And like other con pastors/coaches/motivational speakers, is preying on the most vulnerable, desperate group, single women! We’ve seen this movie before, no one got married. Burale doesn’t have a wife FYI!"
