Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has been accused of forging his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate.
According to a Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) official, the legislator is not in the records of students who sat for the 2006 KCSE examination.
The official, who was identified as Nabiki Kashu, testified before Chief Magistrate Felix Kombo, claiming that the MP's certificate was from a non-existent school.
Reportedly, Kashu said the KCSE certificate presented by Sudi was from Highway Secondary School but its records showed that it belonged to another student who sat for his exams at Parklands Secondary school in 2006.
Referring to a letter from EACC, the official said, "We were asked to find out whether such a candidate sat for KCSE in 2006 in Highway Secondary School in Nairobi."
According to Kashu, who is the head of records and archives in KNEC, Highway High School was not there in 2006.
Her testimony indicated that the code on Sudi's certificate, 401006, belongs to Parklands Secondary School while the index number 401006/081 belonged to Obaje Bob Onyango who was registered and sat for the national examinations at the school.
A few weeks ago, the trial over Sudi's alleged fake academic certificates was directed by the court to to proceed for six days without adjournment.
In 2016, the lawmaker was charged with nine counts of forgery and the current case came into play after the Anti-Corruption Court in Nairobi observed that the case had stalled for about 5 years.
