Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei on Sunday won the 2021 Women's London Marathon as defending champion and world record holder Brigid Kosgey finished 4th.
She becomes the seventh fastest woman marathon in history after clocking 2:17:43.
Jepkosgei finished first 15 seconds ahead of Ethiopian Degitu Azimeraw and her compariot Ashete Bekere who came third.
Jepkosgei, the reigning New York City Marathon champion she of a minute and 3 seconds of her personal best of 2:18:40 on her maiden race in London.
More than 36,000 competitors joined the elite marathoners in the made participation event.
