Ruth Chepng'etich on Sunday clocked 2 hours 22 minutes and 31 seconds to win the Chicago marathon.
Chepng'etich, who is also the reigning world marathon champion beat Emma Bates and Sara Hall who finished second and third respectively.
In the men's race, Kenyan Eric Kiptanui who wa debuting in Chicago Marathon finishes third behind American Galen Rupp and Ethiopia's Seif Tura.
Tura won the men's marathon in a time of 2:06:12.
