Comedian Auntie Jemimah loses Daughter

Comedian and radio personality Wangari Nguri popularly known as Auntie Jemimah has announced that she lost her newborn daughter immediately after birth.

She took to her Instagram page to share the sad news with her fans, saying she gave birth to her baby girl Nduta at 34 weeks but sadly the baby had passed on. 

Aunty Jemimah wrote, “On 29:9:21, my girl arrived at 34weeks, sleeping. I held her in my arms and said goodbye. I am broken, oh so broken that there was nothing I could do to bring her back to life."

"I therefore will be taking a sabbatical to mourn my Nduta the best way I know how and for as long as it takes. Thank you for the love and support. Auntie will be back,” the comedian added. 

Aunty Jemimah has garnered hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube and other social media pages thanks to her funny skits, which she does in Kikuyu. 

On Gukena FM, she co-hosts Gukena drive show with Wagura wa Githui from Monday to Friday and she has another show on Sunday from 10am on the same radio station. 

Jemimah surprised her fans in August this year by revealing her pregnancy as she shared an exquisite photo capturing her baby bump, stating that’s she is excited about the new chapter in her life.

She wrote, “32. New chapter. New Title.” 

Her fans showed their excitement by gushing over her with lovely comments.
