Nominated Member of Parliament Dennitah Ghati has been elected the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disability Network( CPwD)
The network which is a constituent of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association facilitates the activities that champions the representation of persons with disabilities in Commonwealth Parliaments.
Following her election, Ghati will lead the network engagement with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association( CPA) and Headquaters Secretariat and liaise with commonwealth parliament on behalf of the CPwD.
She becomes the second CPwD Chairperson after Kevin Murphy who is the speaker of Nova Scotia House in Canada.
The network was established in 2019.
